Supporting Communities

We were commissioned to create an illustrative animation to bring to life the impact of the NHS Charities Together (NHSCT) Covid-19 Appeal and its continued efforts to address health inequalities.

Since March 2020, over £140 million has been donated to the NHSCT Covid-19 Appeal — a remarkable total that includes the widely celebrated fundraising efforts of Captain Sir Tom Moore. In response to the pandemic, NHSCT launched a grant scheme focused on supporting community partnerships that aim to make a meaningful difference in the wake of Covid-19.

Our animation was designed to communicate the heart of this initiative — showing how the virus has disproportionately affected those already facing disadvantage and discrimination. This includes individuals in areas of high deprivation, people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities, and those experiencing mental health challenges — particularly in the Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) region.

The animation highlights the three core priority areas being supported under the theme of Health Inequalities:

  • Deprivation

  • Ethnicity

  • Mental health

Through a carefully crafted visual narrative, our aim was to convey both the seriousness of these challenges and the hope and support that NHSCT-funded projects are bringing to affected communities.

This funding is not just support — it’s a lifeline. It enables vital, community-driven projects to reach those hit hardest by the pandemic, helping to bridge deep-rooted health inequalities and bring lasting change where it’s needed most.
